Design & Features
Here is a highlight of the Four Wheel Camper factory production line.
On first glance you may notice that the pop-up design of Four Wheel Campers makes them look smaller than other campers. This is the first of many differences that are incorporated into these camper units.
Frame
Hidden beneath the lightweight aluminum cladding is a sturdy all welded aluminum frame. Reinforcing in all high stress areas with extra metal and structural gussets produces a frame with an unparalleled strength to weight ratio. The welded metal frame is also designed to flex and twist with the truck box, unlike a wooden frame that will break apart under these types of stresses.
An additional benefit of an all metal frame is that there is no chance of dry rot eating away at this internal structural components.
Body
The Four Wheel Camper's low profile design produces less wind drag than conventional cab-over campers and helps maintain a lower center of gravity. Combined with its light weight (most units weigh less than 1000 lbs. fully outfitted), this design helps to reduce fuel consumption, eliminates top heavy sway, and allows for parking in many garages.
The specialized Double-step Floor Design has been engineered to create a high quality flooring system that provides exceptional strength, while maximizing interior storage space.
The patented Easy-Lift roof system enables the top to be raised or lowered in less than 60 seconds.
When the roof is popped up the vinyl side liner is visible. It is made of heavy duty interwoven vinyl (hypalon) which is weatherproof. There are four large windows, each with a three-layer design. There is an insect screen, a clear panel and a privacy panel. Each layer fastens tightly with velcro to stop wind and rain. An optional Arctic Pack can be used to add another layer of insulation on the inside.
Exterior Features
The outside of the campers are aluminum, with a baked-on enamel finish that is lightweight, durable and easy to clean.
For exceptional visibility to the rear while driving there are large windows in the front of the camper and in the door. There is also a large window on the passenger side. It is louvered and screened to provide ventilation and is also an emergency exit.
All models include a roof vent which can be fitted, as an option, with a reversible fan.
The door is short. This is because of the requirement to maintain the rigid frame, which necessitates a continuous beam across the top of the back of the camper. The short door looks like it might make getting in and out of the camper awkward, but it is surprisingly easy to manage. As you step up, you bend over, so a tall door is not really important.
All utilities are readily accessed from the outside of the driver’s side. This includes the 2 x 10 litres (2 x 10 lb.) LP tanks, the fill/drain for the fresh water storage system, the 110 volt electrical system plug in, and the kitchen sink drain outlet.
Interior Features
Four Wheel Campers are finished with the finest materials. Walls, cabinets, and settees are constructed of a special light weight vinyl clad wood for easy cleaning, strength, and durability. The counter tops and table are Formica ™. The curtains and cushions are covered with attractive, durable fabrics which have been treated with 3M Scotchgard ™ Fabric Protector for stain and soil resistance.
A seamless no wax vinyl floor aids in cleaning convenience. Each camper interior comes standard with two 12V overhead lights, a roof vent and a 5-A:10-B:C fire extinguisher. All models are equipped with a full Queen Size slide out bed, located over the cab. This unique feature allows maximum space inside the camper during waking hours, and when desired, a simple pull provides comfortable Queen Size accommodations.
Standard camper units come equipped with a comfortable side couch that quickly and easily converts into a single or double bed, according to model type. In addition a generous dining area is easily obtained simply by assembling the three piece portable free standing table that can be used inside or outside the camper.

A uniquely designed kitchen galley includes an efficient two burner propane stove with safety cover, durable stainless steel sink with faucet comes with electric water pump, and a 50 litre (1.7 cu.ft.) three way fridge. In addition, the securable utility drawers and spacious cupboards provide convenient storage for all your favourite kitchen utensils and appliances.

There is easily accessible storage in the cabinets as well as under the side couch. These easily accessed compartments provide room to accommodate your outdoor gear or store misc. items for long trips as well as for the weekend getaway.
